Fire Systems
Older plants are constantly being reviewed by underwriters for their fire fighting capabilities. If not enough water is available from older, tuberculated underground lines, then plant managers are looking at huge replacement costs for lines that run under warehouses, tracks, parking lots, and concrete loading docks. Montauk has returned miles of underground fire lines to insurance specifications at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Process Lines
Recently a major food manufacturer had to reduce plant output because the pipeline that conveyed its process water to the retention ponds couldn't keep up with demand. Even after installing new pumps there was still a problem. They felt the answer was a new 3,000 foot pipeline. Montauk was able to increase the plant's effluent flow by 30% and decreased pumping pressure by 20 psi. Therefore, saving the owner over $100,000 for the proposed new line.
Product Salvage
Any product that flows can be salvaged with Montauk's pigging systems. Customers recoup tens of thousands of dollars annually by reclaiming usable product from their in-plant product lines. Perfumes, paints, oil, precious metal slurry, toothpaste, solvents, silicone, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and fruit juices are among the many products salvaged at enormous savings to our clients.
